"The Saiva Siddhanta system is the most elaborate
influential and undoubtedly the most intrinsically
valuable of all the religions of India. This great
attempt to solve the problems of God, the souls,
humanity, nature, evil, suffering, and the unseen
world has never been fully expounded in English".
Also he analyses the Saiva Siddhantha philosophy
under the light of Greek philosophy and the Christian
philosophy which he had mastered well. Drawing
many parallels between them, he admires at the
Universal truth expounded by them in different
forms. Sometimes one system of philosophy is
understood better when seen in the light of another
system. One can experience this, when going

St. Thirumular utters that like the Lord, the
Soul and the Bond are eternal. The Souls are infinite
in number, separate, indestructible and not created
by the Lord. These ideas are fully supported by the
couclusions of many experiments in physics which
are called now the axioms of philosophy of Modern

Principle Of Quantisation:
The revolutionary work in the field of physics
is the discovery of quantisation of matter, energy
and charge. The nature is not continuous. It is
discrete. The smallest form of matter is the atom.
Any matter in the world is made up of atoms or
combinations of various kinds of atoms. The
smallest form of energy is called quanta or energy
particle. The discovery of quanta of energy made
a big revolution in the field of Modern Physics. The
charges are existing as particles such as electron,
positron proton, etc. Matter, charge and energy are
basic chips of nature. When nature is quantised, it
is convincing to accept and believe the quantisation
of souls. Thus souls are separate and individualistic.
The quantisation phenomena when extended to
various areas of physics has brought in acceptable
results. Thus we find a parallel between physics
and Saiva Siddanta, when that idea is extended
here.
Principle of Conservation:
The whole of Modern physics is pivoted
around the laws of conservation of energy.

never been violated so far are powerful weapons to
